ROULETTE

Place Your Bets Please!

casino-rouletteRoulette is a hugely popular game of chance. In the game, players buy into play with their fun money and the croupier will give you chips to place. The player can choose to place their chips on either single numbers, a combination of numbers, red or black and odd or even numbers. Each player is allocated their own colour of chips. The croupier will spin the ball whilst betting is taking place and once the ball drops into a number, the winning number is marked with a ‘dolly’. The dealer then clears away losing bets and proceeds to pay the winning bets. Winning bets are paid at different odds depending on where it has been placed. E.g one chip straight up on a number pays 35-1, while one chip placed on Red numbers pay even money. Once all bets have been paid, the croupier removes the dolly and betting can start again.

Roulette is glamorous, fast paced and an exciting experience , the thrill of the ball landing on your numbers make it a lot of fun and highly addictive! A traditional casino game and a must have at a fun casino party!

BLACKJACK

Blackjack, also known as twenty-one is the most widely played casino card game in the world.

blackjack-table-hireIt is a game where players are competing against the dealer and not other players on the table. To start, players place their bets within the betting box. The croupier then deals you two cards and one for themselves. The croupier will ask each player in turn whether they wish to take a card or not.

The object of the game is to beat the dealer in one of the following ways:

  • Get 21 points on the player’s first two cards (called a blackjack), without a dealer blackjack;
  • Reach a final score higher than the dealer without exceeding 21; or
  • Let the dealer draw additional cards until his or her hand exceeds 21.

Each hand will end in three ways for the player.

  1. Win – The player wins by beating the dealer and is paid even money. If the player has a Blackjack you will be paid 1.5 times your bet plus keep original bet.
  2. Lose – The player loses by going over twenty-one or because the dealers’ cards add up to more than their total of cards.
  3. Draw – The hand is a ‘push’. Both the player and croupier have the same score and the player neither wins or loses any chips.

The game is played with up to 6 decks of 52 cards. Each picture card represents the number ten and each ace can be either one or eleven. Once all players have completed their actions, the dealer then draws their cards and must keep drawing until their cards total 17 or more. Players win by not busting and having a total higher than the dealer’s.

Blackjack is a fantastic game to learn. It is easy to pick up, enjoyable and suitable for everyone. A casino classic and hugely popular at a fun casino party!

TEXAS HOLDEM POKER

Texas Holdem is probably the best known and most popular form of poker today.

poker-hireTo begin, two cards are dealt to each player face down, also known as hole cards. These cards are only visible to the player. Depending on your position on the table, if you are to the left of the dealer button you must place a ‘small blind’ bet and the player to the left of the small blind must place a ‘big blind’ bet which is normally double the small blind. E.g. small blind is £1 and big blind is £2. The blind bets ensure there is always money in the pot if all players fold their initial cards and the remaining big blind wins the small blind.

In the first round of betting, each player looks at their initial hole cards and can choose the call the big blind, raise or fold. The croupier will continue to ask each player to choose their action until all bets are of equal amount. The croupier then places all bets into the pot and deals out in front of them three cards which are known as ‘the flop’. Then there will be another round of betting, and the croupier deals out a fourth card known as ‘the turn’. Another round of betting follows and then the croupier deals out the fifth and final card known as ‘the river’. A final round of betting takes place before showdown, where all active players still in the hand turns over their hole cards.

A players’ aim of the game is to use any combination of the five community cards on the board and their two hole cards to make the best five card combination. The player with the best hand will win the pot, or if players have the same hand the pot is split.
